Join us for an exciting and informative bike ride through the 27th Ward, hosted by CHANGE Illinois, Equiticity, and Chicago Westside Branch NAACP! Discover the ward's unique character, the story behind its borders, and how the Chicago Advisory Redistricting Commission imagined it in its community-centered People's Map. Whether you're an experienced cyclist or a beginner, this leisurely ride will be perfect for you. Take advantage of this extraordinary opportunity to explore the ward and learn how to empower yourself with us!
ROUTE DETAILS:
The ride will begin at Central Park and Chicago Avenue, at the Salvation Army, and we will ride to Fairgrounds Coffee at 1330 W. Fulton Market.
There is ample street parking at the beginning of the ride, so feel free to park and bring your bike!
No bike? No problem! We will have several Divvy bikes on hand for those who need them. Please specify if you would like a DIVVY in your RSVP.
Equiticity will have ride marshals on hand at the front and back of the group to keep everyone safe, and we also will have someone who drives along nearby with water and snacks at stops along the way.
