Authentic Partnerships: The Equiticity Ethos
Dear Equiticity Partners,
With this fundraising appeal, I will discuss our work to create authentic partnerships, show appreciation for several of our partners in Chicago, and kindly ask for your financial support.
Core to Equiticity's ethos as a racial equity movement is authentic partnerships. Partnerships are intrinsic to Equiticity. Everything we do is in partnership with, well, our partners. We don't do anything by ourselves, not even in North Lawndale on Chicago's Westside, where Equiticity is headquartered.
Without our partners, our work would not be possible. We are immensely grateful for the many opportunities to amplify our work through authentic partnerships. We often reflect on how far we have come and the impact we have created through partnerships – through shared values, leveraging the intersections of our work, the alignment of our priorities, and the shear will to overcome the challenges to achieving racial equity in our society.
Despite the challenges and naysayers, we consistently strive to deepen our partnerships. Our goal in partnership is to achieve shared ownership. True collaboration creates ownership for our partners and results in a deep and abiding impact in our communities. Through authentic partnerships, together we envision, plan, and create the society we know will be realized one day. In partnership, we deliver something new, of unique character and value – a result none of us could have achieved alone.
Please donate to Equiticity's fundraising campaign.
Our work challenges us everyday to achieve authentic partnerships. Through establishing community advisory councils to funding our partners with sub-grants, we strive to reach beyond our perceived limitations. We elevate the distinct needs of both our communities and our partners, by expanding our collective capacity. We set out in this shared work to transform ourselves, our partners, our communities, and our world.
